This rustic property in Seahouses is a dog-friendly cottage that sleeps four, located close to the harbour and beach, perfect for exploring the heritage and natural beauty of Northumberland.

This charming cottage lies in the fishing village of Seahouses, which offers boat trips, coastal walks and delicious local food, making it an ever-popular tourist destination. Northumberland is a county with a host of spectacular wildlife, award-winning dining and areas of outstanding natural beauty. Northumberland’s International Dark Sky Park is an opportunity not to be missed; the largest of its kind on Europe, it allows visitors to embrace the autumn and winter seasons and witness some of the region’s exciting astronomical events – the perfect place to observe the county’s beautiful, star-speckled sky. Seahouses, in particular, is well served by boat trips to the magnificent Farne Islands and Coquet Island, plus several nature reserves nestled in the heart of Northumberland. The fascinating Bamburgh Castle is also nearby, with exhibitions exploring its varied history as Anglo-Saxon palace, home to a Victorian inventor, and all the centuries between.

The cottage features a cosy lounge with an electric fire with log burner effect and two sofas, where guests can relax with smart TV or some of the books and games provided, or enjoy a meal at the dining table with four chairs. The fully equipped kitchen gives you the freedom for a great self-catering holiday with ample facilities that includes an electric oven and hob, fridge with ice compartment, washer/dryer and a dishwasher. On the first floor, the comfortable main bedroom features a restful king size bed and ample storage while the second bedroom provides 2 single beds, and shower room with a WC. The traditional ambience throughout is of warmth and easy living.

Outside, access to the neighbouring sister cottage is shared, and while the porch entrance to this cottage does not allow for outdoor seating, the harbour front and all the local amenities and attractions are a short distance away from the accommodation. You are able to unload your car outside the property, however for more permanent car parking a permit is provided free of charge for the village carpark, only a few minutes walk away. This permit can also be used in other Northumberland Car Parks during your stay. Please note that the location of the property is to the rear of the coffee shop, as well as a kebab shop.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

  • 2 bedrooms: 1 king size with TV/DVD player, 1 with 2 single beds

Comfortable, well equipped cottage perfectly situated for all amenities. Parking in the car park is not a problem as it is so close and the parking disc a useful extra.

With the warning it can be noisy. Adjoining the house is a storehouse, whilst there one morning , stock was being brought in and placed on pallets, the sound was thunderous .Read more
On leaving the house it could be seen that it was the pallets on the far walls that were being filled not the adjoining where the pallets were empty. If it had been the adjoining wall I dread to think what the noise would have been ! Cracks on the wall inside the cottage could be explained by storage by the joint !SELECTED!wall!

We had a good stay at Flores Cottage. The property has had a makeover since the last time we stayed and it is all the better for it. It is conveniently located and well equipped for a comfortable Northumberland break.

Apart from various instances of poor cleaning which will be down to the management company and not the owners, the cottage catered for all our needs and is perfectly located To explore Seahouses and the surrounding areas.

Much clearer on website that you cant park, although I was fine with the parking trade off to get a parking permit The location should be much clearer that its behind a kebab shop. The location was a real downer for me. Staff from hotel / coffee place smoking out the back. Id recommend the cottage but not it's location.

Lovely cottage with everything we needed! Loved the biscuits that were left for us and the tea, coffee and milk was a lovely gesture and appreciated although we had bought our own. It was also nice to get a text from the housekeeper to make sure everything was ok for us when we arrived. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The cottage is in an ideal location for exploring the Northumberland coast and has everything needed for a home away from home. It is much more spacious than it appears in the photos too

Only thing was the hand sanitiser dispenser in the kitchen doesn't work. We had a fantastic stay and holiday in Seahouses.

A beautiful, impeccably clean cottage in a fabulous location. The parking permit was an absolute bonus and enabled us to go to places for short times without feeling guilty about paying too much for parking so we saw more of the area due to this. The cottage has been recently refurbished which can be seen and it had everything we needed

Perfect little cottage for our needs & great base for touring round Northumberland, felt very relaxed with our two dogs & plenty eating places, which were dog friendly, shame could not park outside, but at least you could to unload, & parking permit a plus, also you could use it else where, once found our way around short cuts, two mins to car, twoRead more toilets a plus, would certainly go back & stay in this cottage, Hide

Noisy at night due to takeaway service and hotel outside catering nearby. Cottage looked to have been hastily cleaned upon our arrival and we struggled to obtain hot water. Frozen compartment was frozen and we spent a couple of hours defrosting it in order to put in frozen dog meat. However issues were dealt with promptly. So wouldn't recommend untRead moreil refurbishment complete. However near to good restaurants and all main facilities. Hide

Absolutely loved my time in Seahouses. The cottage was centrally located, had all the comforts in the cottage I needed. Clean, comfortable, ideal for a small family, pet friendly as well, as is the town. One of the best beaches I have ever seen. Highly recommended. Food in the town very good, odd place a little on the pricey side (Bamburgh Castle IRead morenn, 4.95 for a pint of beer). I would definitely choose Seahouses again over many locations in the UK and even Europe. Hide
