Just a short walk from a golden beach, and situated in the heart of a charming seaside village, this stunning, spacious apartment is a wonderful holiday home in picturesque surroundings.

Set along the north bank of the River Aln, the popular village of Alnmouth features colourful cottages and a glorious beach with a vast expanse of golden sand. The village offers a variety of restaurants, pubs, coffee shops and gift shops as well as a lovely golf course overlooking the sea. Five miles away is the vibrant town of Alnwick, with its cobbled streets and diverse shops. You can visit the fantastic Alnwick Castle, which is famous as a location for Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films, as well as the wonderful Alnwick Garden, with one of the world’s largest tree houses. Nearby are lovely villages including Amble and Warkworth, or you could take a boat trip to Coquet Island.

 

This beautiful holiday home is one of three charming apartments in Tidal Sands House. The entrance hallway is communal, with a lift and stairs to the other two apartments. The Garden Apartment is on the ground floor and has beautiful wood flooring, central heating and air conditioning throughout. From the communal entrance, the apartment leads into a large hallway, with all the rooms leading off from here. The hallway leads you into the spacious and attractive open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Tastefully furnished, with comfortable seating, SkyTV and a feature fireplace, the welcoming, light and airy lounge is a wonderful space for relaxing in at the end of a great day exploring this lovely area. You will find a charming dining area where you can enjoy a meal in style. Heading over to the elegantly designed kitchen you will find it fully equipped with integrated appliances, including dishwasher, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, a separate wine fridge and gas hobs built into the worktops. To the front of the property is the south-facing sun room with TV, with large bi-fold doors which open out onto the private garden. Exploring this fantastic property further, you will find three cosy bedrooms. The master bedroom offers a king-size bed and plenty of storage space, and has an en-suite shower-room with a double walk-in rain shower and WC. You will also find two twin bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom with rain shower and WC. You will also find a handy utility room, with additional freezer space, a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is also a separate WC.

 

Stepping outside, you can unwind on the delightful decked area with additional outside seating in the garden and enjoy the 180 degrees view of the estuary. To the rear of the property, there is access to private, secure parking for one car. There is additional parking space in the car park at the beach front for an additional cost.

The Garden flat is a huge space, with stunning views over the estuary and out to sea. Lovely space to chill and spend a week. Many of the electrical appliances do need some attention, but you can work around that. We would definitely stay here again, and love Alnmouth.
