Only a five-minute drive from Bamburgh village with its beach and famous castle, the cottage is the perfect base to explore the local area. Set in a tranquil location, it is still close enough to village amenities and there are a huge selection of both country and coastal villages to visit, all with traditional pubs and friendly locals. The Northumberland coastline is simply stunning and you can enjoy a stroll along the golden sands or get involved in one of the many local water sporting activities on offer. Boat trips to the Farne Islands from the popular seaside village of Seahouses are a must and you are likely to see seals, puffins and various types of seabirds. A visit to the area is not complete without seeing the nearby Holy Island of Lindisfarne and of course, the popular market town of Alnwick with its world renowned gardens and magnificent castle.
