Nestling close to the picturesque village of Bamburgh, this superb farmhouse style barn conversion makes a fantastic holiday base for families or friends enjoying the fabulous Northumberland coast.

The popular and historic coastal village of Bamburgh is just a short drive from the cottage, and can also be reached via a rural, public footpath. The famous Bamburgh Castle sits up high and is a truly magnificent sight, overlooking the long sandy beach, which is perfect for long walks with your family and friends. Within the town are a host of great shops, restaurants and cafes. A little further along the coast are the popular seaside villages of Seahouses and Beadnell. Beadnell is home to a beautiful bay, ideal for water sports. From Seahouses, you can take a short boat trip to the Farne Islands, a sea bird sanctuary with a colony of Atlantic and Grey Seals.

On entering this beautiful barn conversion which retains several original features including exposed beams, you will find yourself in the spacious and tastefully furnished lounge. With a feature stone wall and large, arching windows and French doors, this is a light and attractive space, ideal for relaxing in. There’s plenty of comfortable seating, a traditional wood burner, TV, DVD and a large bookcase filled with books, games and DVDs. Heading up one step into the attractive and large kitchen/diner, you will find a delightful dining area with seating for up to eight guests, along with a breakfast bar. The stylishly designed kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, toaster, cafetiere and iPod dock. Exploring the ground floor further you will find a cosy twin bedroom, as well as a shower room with walk-in shower and WC. Going upstairs to the first floor you will find three further comfy bedrooms. There’s a king-size room with a TV and DVD, a double bedroom with an additional single bed, and there’s also a king-size room with a small en-suite shower room with a WC. You will also find a bathroom complete with a shower over the bath and a WC.

Stepping outside you will find a large, lawn garden which is ideal for running about and a family game of football, rounders or cricket. There is ample off-road parking available for at two or three cars.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Access road in poor state , other than that great place to stay.

The cottage provided ample space to spread out in comfort. We only had four in the party so had ample choice of beds. plenty of space in the kitchen to cook and eat. Relaxing and quiet

Fantastic location, 15 minute walk into Bamburgh. Quiet location. Cottage is very clean and comfortable. Excellent sized garden, kitchen is very well equipped.

Great choice for family gathering to celebrate my birthday. Close to the beach and nice dog friendly pubs. Really quiet at night for a restful sleep ready for more local adventures. Lots to do in the area so you will not get bored.

Popular Seahouses, known to many as ‘the village by the sea', is the ideal location for a seaside holiday or short break in Northumberland. This picturesque coastal village is an excellent base from which to explore the whole of the Northumberland Coast and countryside.

Famed for its picturesque harbour and panoramic views of the spectacular Farne Islands, the bustling fishing village of Seahouses features everything you would expect from a seaside holiday and more. All the beaches in the area are dog-friendly, while there is also a huge range of spectacular wildlife and sea life waiting to be sighted.
