Just a stone’s throw from the amenities in picturesque Seahouses, this homely cottage offers sea views, shoreline walks and a dog-friendly policy, making it an ideal year-round destination.

A traditional, end-terrace cottage situated close to Seahouses' harbour, beach and Main Street, this is the perfect base for exploring one of the north-east’s most picturesque coastlines. The village’s fishing heritage is evident in the colourful boats tied to the quayside, from where you can book a trip to the untamed Farne Islands with their famous puffins and other wildlife. Seahouses' beach features a sweeping expanse of sand, as well as dunes for walking and rocks for pooling, while a longer stroll up the coast brings you to dramatic Bamburgh Castle and beach. A short drive will take you across the causeway to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. Closer to home, the property is located opposite the Schooner Inn, affording live music, home-cooked food and a warm welcome for dogs.

The cottage accommodates two people in an ‘upside down’ configuration. On the ground floor you will find a double bedroom with bedside cabinets, pine wardrobes and a dressing area, plus a bathroom with a shower over the bath. Stairs lead up to a cosy, first-floor living room, which features comfortable seating, TV, DVD, CD and a marble-hearthed open fire for those fresher evenings. After a long day’s sightseeing, relax with a book from the shelf or pick from a selection of board games to play on the dining table. Arguably best of all is the view – look through the windows and you’ll be able to see across the village rooftops and directly out to the sea. This floor is also home to a comprehensively equipped kitchen, with all mod cons including a dishwasher, electric oven and hob and microwave. Note that a washing machine and iron/ironing board can be found downstairs.

Parking: You can unload and load outside the cottage however, unfortunately you cannot park in front of the property. There is a permit provided inside the cottage for parking a car in Seahouses' main car park, a 5 minute walk away. This can also be used in any of the Northumberland County paid car parks during your stay.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

  • 1 double bedroom
  • 1 bathroom, shower over the bath with WC
  • Fridge, oven, hob, microwave and dishwasher
  • Washing machine, iron and ironing board
  • Open fire
  • Central heating and electric included
  • Bed linen included
  • Pubs, restaurants, and shops within short driving distance
  • 2 dogs welcome
  • TV/DVD, video and CD in the lounge

What a lovely, cosy cottage, but still plenty of room for us and our Lurcher. The position opposite 2 pubs was great- The Black Swan does a tremendous Sunday lunch. Very close to harbour and beaches. It was just the perfect weekend for us.

Lovely cottage, very clean and well equipped, bathroom a bit on the chilly side could do with some additional heating, but we did go late October. Because the bedroom is downstairs Friday night was very noisy due too live music from the spooner inn. Overall great cottage and location we had a great holiday.

Having to park in the town car park was a pain, especially since it was difficult to find spaces. The pubs opposite were noisy at night and since the bedroom is on the ground floor facing the pub, we found it difficult to sleep. The mattress being very uncomfortable didn't help. The fridge didn't work properly. On the up-side, there was lots of hotRead more water and the upstairs lounge had 4 windows throwing lovely light around the room. Hide
