This lovely original stone built cottage is situated near the harbour and only one mile away from Bamburgh Castle. It sleeps two people and provides the perfect base for exploring Northumberland.

The perfect base for a couple looking to explore the Northumberland coast. You will be spoilt for choice for things to do and places to visit. The historic town of Alnwick is only 10 miles away here you'll find a thriving, historic market town with something a bit special! If you are a fan of Harry Potter, you must visit Hogwart’s School, i.e. Alnwick Castle, and relive some of the favourite scenes from the films. Located just a stone’s throw from the harbour, you can enjoy a boat trip to The Farne Islands with ease too. The cottage is only a short walk away from the main streets, with shops, bars and restaurants to enjoy.

 

This cosy cottage has everything you need for a comfortable and memorable stay. It is steeped in charm and character, boasting beautiful furniture and oak flooring. The spacious lounge/dining area features two comfortable leather sofas, an iPod dock, DVD, and TV, the room also benefits from a warming woodburner. There is also a dining table with seating for four guests and. The kitchen is fully-equipped and has everything you need to cook a delicious meal, including an oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and washing machine. There is also a washing machine in the kitchen. There is also a cosy double bedroom, with a shower room and WC.

 

There is space for one car to park in front of the cottage. At the back of the property, there is a shared yard and a bench to unwind on. This outdoor space provides the perfect place to relax after you have been busy exploring everything that the area has to offer.

We were very pleased with the standard of the cottage as a whole, and it quickly felt like home from home. The thoughtful details such as gowns and slippers, and some milk in the fridge, were much appreciated, thank you!

Wonderfull cottage for two, ideal for golfers who play seahouses. Ideal for the local pub the Schooner. Walking distance of anywhere in Seahouses. Parking can be an issue but a lovely cottage with character.

Kittiwake is a cosy cottage close to the harbour. It is an ideal base for walks along the coastline situated between Bamburgh and Beadnell.

Kittiwake Cottage is very close to the lovely harbour and local amenities. The cottage was very clean and had a good range of equipment. Be sure to visit the local smokery in the next street. Parking is adequate for a small car. There is no outdoor space which was a downside because it was very warm in July.

A great stay in a lovely cosy cottage. We enjoyed a walk to Bamburgh and a look round the castle, a boat trip to the Farne Islands, driving to Lindisfarne to look at the priory, and visiting Barter Books and Alnwick Garden. It was also lovely just wandering around Seahouses, along the pier and over the rocks. Cottage was comfortable excellent location for harbour shops restaurants. Enjoyed a boat trip to Farne Islands, a visit to The Alnwick Castle & The Alnwick Gardens. We visited a number coastal villages & enjoyed Amble Marina.

Kittiwake cottage was very roomy and excellently decorated. Apart from one evening for about an hour it was always possible to park directly outside the cottage. There are many beautiful coastline walks, we particularly enjoyed the walk to Bamburgh Castle along the beach. A visit to Alnwick Castle and Cragside House are also to be recommended

Beautifully furnished, really lovely feel to it. Fantastic stay at Kittiwake Cottage. Highly recommend the Farne Islands and if the weathers good walking to Low Newton and visiting the Ship Inn for food.

Very well presented, warm and welcoming. Sympathetic modernisation. Everything had been thought of. Dressing gowns a nice touch. A perfectly placed cottage for two, close to north Northumberland's key attractions and with the advantage of shops, pubs, coastal walks and good food within walking distance. Perfect for a short break or longer stay.

The cottage was beautifully decorated and very clean. The beds and sofas were very comfortable. It was very spacious for 2 people. Everything we needed was available in the cottage. Great base for exploring the Northumberland coast and there were lots of eating places within a very short walk.

Modern tasteful decor, larger than we were expecting. Nice and warm. Nice large shower. Didn't lack for anything in the kitchen. If this is the standard expected then definitely yes we would recommend. There is every chance we will return to Kittiwake Cottage.

We stayed in the Kittiwake Cottage in Seahouses for our anniversary. We have visited so many cottages/apartments and hotels and this one has honestly been the best holiday we've had. We enjoyed shopping and walking along Bamburgh Beach and also enjoyed the local fish shops (Lewis's and Neptune's). This cottage didn't have Internet and no signal butRead more it definitely made me kick my habit of checking my phone every 5 minutes and let us both enjoy the sea views. Kittiwake Cottage is a very well equipped comfortable and cosy cottage for two. The location of the cottage in Seahouses is great, as all the following are within walking distance - beach, pub, chip shop, local shops and supermarket. A trip to Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island, Alnmouth and Warkworth were well worth a visit.
