This cottage is one of seven holiday cottages in a small complex on the grounds of the stunning Ellingham Hall. This stately home date back to the 19th century and sits prominently to the front of the cottage. In the grounds, you will also find an impressive shared Treehouse play area for the kids to enjoy, as well as your own private garden with an ample-sized patio where you can fire up the BBQ and enjoy the lush country air. And if you need a change of scenery, you can head over to the nearby local pub, epitomising the traditional English country establishment with its fare making this holiday home the perfect retreat after a day taking in the magnificent Northumberland coast.
This property sleeps four people in its two bedrooms and offers a family bathroom as well as a cloakroom downstairs. When you enter the front door, you are greeted with the stylishly decorated open plan kitchen, diner and lounge; perfect to accommodate a family. The kitchen is well equipped, with a great fridge/freezer, a Range Master-style oven and hob, and a microwave for you to whip up some delectable meals. And to the cottage's front, there is the set of French doors that lead out to the garden with a patio complete with wooden table and chairs. When you head up the stairs, you will find the two bedrooms one is a king size double, beautifully decorated with a window that looks out onto the estate, and the other a cosy twin. The family bathroom is upstairs, featuring a shower over the bath, with WC.
If you head out of the double doors in the lounge area, you will descend two steps into your lovely private garden space. There, you will find a patio with wooden garden furniture to relax on and a BBQ to work some culinary magic in the fine country air. The lawn is large enough for picnics and, if necessary, the children to play on, all enclosed by waist-high shrubs and flower beds. This allows a view of the grounds, with the green spaces, trees and pleasant buildings conjuring a truly serene atmosphere. Take a walk around to the front of the cottage, and you will find the off-road parking space that is your personal driveway. And if you venture further out into the grounds, you will find the other cottages and, of course, the marvellous Ellingham Hall. And let's not forget the amazing Treehouse play area that the kids will go wild over!
