Beadnell is popular seaside resort in the North East county of Northumberland, with an exceptional choice of leisure facilities for outdoor sports enthusiasts. Specialising in water sports, you can enjoy surfing and body boarding at Beadnell Bay. There are also several dive clubs that take advantage of some interesting dive sites off the coast. The wide beach is a draw for kite boarders too. If you are a keen birder, take a walk to the Long Nanny, a National Trust protected breeding site for all kinds of species, both migratory and sedentary. Take a boat trip to the Farne Islands to see the puffins and seals and visit the castles of Alnwick and Bamburgh for pure spectacle.

On arrival at the house you will encounter the spacious lounge area. Ample comfortable seating centres around a Smart TV/DVD for you to unwind and enjoy some programmes after a satisfying day of exploring the area. The audio visual set up is enhanced by a DAB radio and an iPod dock. Adjacent to the lounge is the dining area, which contains a table with room for six guests. Patio doors open out on to the rear garden. The kitchen comes complete with all the accessories you’d require for a self-catering break including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, a washing machine and more. Also on the ground floor you can find a WC. To the first floor, there are three bedrooms; two restful doubles (one of which has an en-suite shower room with WC, and a TV) and a comfortable single. The bathroom contains a bath with shower over, and WC.

Step outside into the well-maintained enclosed garden with decking area and outdoor furniture. There is off-road parking for two cars on the driveway at the front of the property.

The property was very clean and well maintained. Easy to find and clear access info. Excellent location. We had a lovely week here. Using heating was a bit of a guessing game but we did work it out- clear instructions would be helpful.

It was an ideal location for young children who love the beach. It was literally 5 minutes walk for little legs! Great beach which went on for miles, toilets and shower block, fabulous ice cream van and beach bar for hot chocolate and beer. The accommodation had a downstairs toilet, great for the kids, bedrooms a little small, but comfortable with Read moregood storage. Would book again and recommend. Hide

This holiday home was lovely, so clean and spacious. It had everything we needed. It was in a great location, only a few minutes walk to the beach and really easy to get to other places by car. We really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Unfortunately sink upstairs was blocked and unusable and water pressure very poor. Nicely decorated and clean. Good location.

Really nice cottage in a great location close to the beach. It is a nice quiet area so felt safe for children to scooter/bike ride. Small playground nearby but a larger playground a 2 min drive away. We were disappointed in this property. Everyone has different expectations of holiday accommodation, but basically upstairs is cramped. Not really suitable for anyone with mobility issues, as I have. There is no dishwasher - very unusual and unhygienic. The combi-oven was too complex for us to use. Fridgefreezer is awkward to access. This is a well-appointed property in an ideal location for exploring the glorious Northumberland coast & countryside, whether to the north, south or inland. Lots to see & do & places to visit, both on the doorstep & further afield. Beadnell itself has a lovely, long sandy beach, & Seahouses, just 5mins by car, has many small shops & a Co-op supermaRead morerket. The house is very well appointed overall & was clean & tidy throughout when we arrived. The rear outside space, though, is in need of some TLC. Hide

Lovely clean, modern house on a quiet residential estate, 5 minutes walk to Beadnell Bay. We found the location excellent for exploring the Northumberland coastline. A nice, welcoming place to return to after a day out!

Excellant towels..cleanliness best of any cottage stayed in. Good position to go north or south northumberland. Nice 10 min walk to harbour.. Downstairs open plan and created nice relaxed atmosphere. Quirky bits and bobs added to charm. Showers excellant....good water stream and almost immeadiate warmth

Very comfortable and well presented accommodation. Neat, secluded rear garden which catches lots of sun. (late September). Have stayed in this part of Beadnell many times now, and this ranks among the best. Ideally situated for Beadnell beach, and within easy striking distance of many good eating places.

Great place to stay. Beadnell is lovely, Burns Retreat is on a quiet estate and has a private back garden with alfresco dining facilities. The cottage is only 3 minutes walk to the beach, 10 minutes walk to the village store and 15 minutes walk to the pub.
