Lovely, spacious house. The children loved their bedroom and exploring the toys and books that were provided. Great location for exploring the coast and castles and had a supermarket and pubs within walking distance.

Belford Townhouse was lovely; it was both clean and homely. The local co-op was well-stocked. There is a good fish and chip shop in Belford. There is also a lovely cafe with friendly staff offering reasonably priced food for lunch. Belford is close to the A1 making it a good location to get to all the local attractions.

Nice and homely, everything we needed in a good location with a great pub a few doors away the Black Swan! In a quiet small village, first visit to Northumberland and would go back. Visited Lindisfarne, Bamburgh coastline, sea houses, Cragside and Wallington, great place to visit!

Lovely decor and the sitting room and bedrooms were great. The Belford Townhouse stands in the market square opposite the Blue Bell Inn - an old coaching stop. Its light and airy rooms overlook the market cross and the church steps. It's extremely convenient for Lindisfarne and Bamburgh and just a mile off the A1 so easy to reach. Our visit was briRead moreef but we'd recommend The White Swan in Warenford for meals and the Blue Bell Inn for their folk night (very skilled and gentle), good beers and satisfying bar food. Lindisfarne is magical of course - but we'd advise getting across as soon as the causeway opens (not difficult when you're so near to begin with) and getting straight on with what you want to see - the Castle and the Priory get very busy. We had a great lunch at The Pilgrim Cafe there then walked the beaches. The beach at Bamburgh (with the castle lowering behind) is unbelievably clean and beautiful and our whippet loved the sand beneath his paws, as did many, many other dogs - no restrictions here. Hide

We stayed at Belford Townhouse as a family for a long weekend. We absolutely loved the house and had a fantastic family break. We hadn't been to Belford before but were pleasantly surprised by the local facilities - shop, few pubs, fish and chip shop, nice cafe / farm shop (called Sunnyhills - very good coffee and lunch) with kids play park and smaRead morell independent shops. It's only a 5 minute drive along the spectacular coastline down to Bamburgh for a great beach, castle and further restaurants and pubs (we recommend the beach directly behind the castle). The location is perfect, not far from anywhere - we went to Holy Island for a day trip which is only 15 mins away. The house has a big entrance hall, (perfect for storing scooters!) with private parking area and a garden which is enclosed and seems to be a sun trap, even at this time of year. The property has been recently renovated and carefully furnished with an eye for detail - the owners had been in touch via email and text before and during our stay to check everything was ok. They had even left fresh eggs from their hens for us to enjoy! We found the house was really well equipped (the kitchen even had cookery books) and was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The lounge is a grand space and has two large windows seats overlooking the village square. All bedrooms have stunning views from the top floors, and the twin room has a great selection of games and toys for the children.. Great place for hide and seek according to the kids! We will hopefully be coming back for the summer hols or long weekend break, and will definitely recommend to friends and family. Thanks again! Hide
