A short distance from Seahouses harbour and the village's shops, restaurants and other amenities is Bay Reach Cottage: a former fisherman's cottage perfect for families exploring Northumberland's coast.

The cottage is in the heart of the village of Seahouses, giving easy access to local beaches as well as the area's plentiful attractions further afield. From Seahouses harbour, visitors can enjoy boat trips to nearby Farne Island with its wide variety of wildlife, which includes a whole host of rare bird species or to the famous Lindisfarne Castle on Holy Island, accessible via a causeway at low tide. The area is also perfect for those looking for active breaks, with activities such as horse riding, diving and watersports all available in the local area, while keen golfers can tee off at the full 18-hole golf course located in Seahouses, just a short distance from the cottage. The Seahouses area is also perfect for keen walkers and cyclists, with a whole host of both coastal and rural routes to choose from.

 

The property has been refurbished with plenty of attention to detail, and is well-equipped for family breaks. On the ground floor, the lounge, which features two double sofas and a TV, combines bright and airy with warm and cosy with its exposed beams and wood burner, while the kitchen is fully kitted out and includes a rustic dining table seating up to six as well as an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine,and dishwasher. On the first floor, there are three bedrooms two doubles and one nautical themed bunk bedroom, perfect for children. The bedrooms share a modern bathroom with shower over bath and WC. There is also free Wi-Fi throughout, and a travel cot for families travelling with young babies.

 

Outside, there is one parking space at the property itself, in addition guests will receive a permit to park locally. While there is no garden, Bay Reach Cottage is just a stone's throw from plenty of open spaces, from parks to beaches and more.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Popular Seahouses, known to many as ‘the village by the sea', is the ideal location for a seaside holiday or short break in Northumberland. This picturesque coastal village is an excellent base from which to explore the whole of the Northumberland Coast and countryside.

Famed for its picturesque harbour and panoramic views of the spectacular Farne Islands, the bustling fishing village of Seahouses features everything you would expect from a seaside holiday and more. All the beaches in the area are dog-friendly, while there is also a huge range of spectacular wildlife and sea life waiting to be sighted.
