4 Smugglers Cove was lovely, and we had a great holiday. We love Northumberland and the coastline, and the miles of beautiful sandy beaches. It's perfect now we have a dog.

4 Smugglers Cove is a comfortable, well appointed holiday cottage close to the centre of Beadnell. The bedrooms are all of a good size with ample storage. The kitchen has everything you need if youre planning on eating in and need to do laundry. The open plan living room and dining room is a nice space.

Lovely location within easy reach of the beach and lots of places to eat which were very good. I would definitely recommend The Salt Water Cafe evening bistro and The Ship Inn at Low Newton. You probably need to book a table at both these places.

Ideal location to reach the beach. Enclosed garden for dogs to stretch their legs. Good food at both the Craster Arms and Courtyard Cafe (right next door) and easy access to the coast/Alnwick and Cheviot Hills. Worth noting that theres just the one door into the cottage. A good little bolt hole from which to explore the wonderful Northumberland coastline. Very efficient service from owner and maintenance company when we had a problem with the electrics. There is only parking for one car and the space is quite narrow - my car was scratched unfortunately whilst parked at the cottage. There is usually room to park on Read morethe road which isnt mad busy. The cottage was good value for money this year but who knows what the charges will be in the future? Hide
