You can also visit the fascinating RNLI Grace Darling Museum or St Aidan’s Church, the site of which dates back over a thousand years, and guests to this property can enjoy free entry to Paxton House. Bamburgh is also famous for its glorious three mile sandy beach as well as some wonderful shops, tearooms, pubs and restaurants. You will find miles of walking and cycling routes or you can visit the pretty village of Lucker or the picturesque bird sanctuary at Budle Bay. By night enjoy diner under the stars, al fresco, in the private garden area.

On entering this lovely single-level ground-floor holiday home, which has been lovingly converted from a former agricultural building, you will find yourself in the bright and attractive open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Tastefully furnished, with comfy seating, Smart TV and a traditional wood burner set on a reclaimed natural stone hearth, the light and airy lounge is a great space to relax and snuggle up in following a fantastic day exploring this fantastic area. You will also find a charming dining area with breakfast-bar style table and chairs, and the stylishly designed kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge and cafetiere. Exploring this property further you will find a cosy double bedroom, and there’s also a shower room complete with walk-in shower and WC.

From both the lounge and the bedroom, French doors lead out into the garden, which has an enclosed patio area overlooking beautiful countryside with a small bistro table and two chairs, a raised flower bed and garden ornaments. There is off-road parking for one car in the shared parking courtyard behind the cottage. During your stay you might be lucky to catch a glimpse of a Northumberland red squirrel, from the comfort of the cottage. Having visited Northumberland last year we couldnt wait to return and wanted somewhere to stay more North. This property was perfect, great location, just off the A1 making it easy to get to places, very quiet, private and beautiful view.s. We thought the cottage was fab. Warm and cosy with plenty of space for two. It was really well situated in a lovely area. Perfect for getting about. An added bonus was the pub down the road which wed booked for dinner on our arrival.

Loved the cottage and our first experience of Northumberland, the only thing that would stop us coming back to this property is the road , which is such a shame .

Clean and cosy cottage for two. Didn't need to use the wood burner heating was sufficient. Shower could be more powerful and more comfortable dining table & chairs would be a good addition. All in all enjoyed our three day break.

A very nice small cottage, with everything that you need, and a great location near Bamburgh and the A1. Comfortable, with a quiet seating area behind the cottage which feels private despite having adjacent cottages. Easy to find, and unlike some holiday cottages has handy parking. Very nice accommodation with excellent facilities and well fitted out in modern styling. Situated just off the A1 so easy to find and just 4 miles from Bambourough down a windy B road. on the Saturday we stayed we a lot of rain and it came down the chimney liner in to the room on to the fire ,when we lit the fire we had a smell of wet tar in to the room.

This was our second visit to Bamburgh Gate. We stayed in No. 2 last year but opted for the larger No. 3 this year. We again werent disappointed and arrived to a spotlessly clean cottage. The cottage was lovely and warm and lovely view across the fields. Plenty of space and very comfortable seating. Very accessible to all major attractions in area. Only negative is lanes are narrow and dark so not suitable to walk to local pub/ restaurant. However would recommend.

This is a lovely little cottage, very clean, comfortable, and in a very convenient location only 2 mins from the A1, and very close to Bamburgh, Seahouses etc. Facilities at the cottage were sufficient, and all items worked well. Although the cottage is listed as dog friendly, the immediate area is not particularly suited to walking dogs, particulaRead morerly those short walks for bathroom breaks, last thing or first thing.
