Located amongst twelve other tasteful, eco-lodges, this complex is where the original stones used to build Bamburgh Castle were quarried over 1400 years ago. Less than 2 miles from Bamburgh’s vibrant village shops, renowned eateries, Grace Darling Museum, and the fabulous, sandy beach there’s lots to see. From Bamburgh, walk the coastal path to nearby Seahouses for a wildlife-spotting boat trip from the harbour around the Farne Islands. Head to beautiful Beadnell Bay for brunch at the beachside café, pub/restaurants, and a café/bistro, try water sports lessons, rock pooling, picnics in the sand dunes, and the wonderful walk towards Low Newton-by-the-Sea. Cross the causeway to explore Holy Island’s Lindisfarne Castle, enjoy island walks and the local birdlife, and visit Alnwick Castle and Gardens.

This impressive, detached lodge with magnificent views over open countryside towards Bamburgh’s Castle and coastline has been tastefully furnished and finished to a high standard to ensure you have a memorable and relaxing holiday. Step into the hallway/utility room where you will find space to store your outdoor clothing and shoes. Head through to the open-plan living areas with high, vaulted ceilings adding to the sense of space, light, and calm. The kitchen/diner has floor-to-ceiling/wall-to-wall windows that allow natural daylight to flood in at the front and to the side, bi-fold doors open wide onto the enclosed decking for outside/inside living, and spectacular views of the neighbouring whinstone cliffs. The contemporary kitchen has been packed with equipment for the family cook to prepare a range of meals and the large dining table comfortably seats six guests for sociable mealtimes. The light and airy lounge also has impressive floor-to-ceiling windows and is the perfect place to relax and reconnect with family members with three comfortable sofas arranged for easy conversation. Rest and unwind in the glow of the wood burner and there is a large TV for entertainment. Two of the bedrooms and a bathroom lead off from the lounge; a double bedroom with a TV and an en-suite shower room, and the twin bedroom has a radio, books, and games for the children to enjoy. Close by is the family bathroom and the third bedroom is off the kitchen/diner and has a double bed and a TV.

Outside, enjoy dining and drinks, sunsets, and dark starry skies sitting on the balcony decking. You also have shared access to twenty acres of woodland, picnic areas, and an amazing cliff-top viewing point nearby for spectacular views of Bamburgh Castle and the coastline.

The cottage is stunning and well laid out with everything you could need. Very clean with quality furniture, bedding etc it is in a beautiful peaceful setting just a short drive from Bamburgh. One of the nicest if not the nicest holiday rental I have stayed in.

Seagrass lodge is conveniently situated in a quiet location within an old quarry and with a great view of Bamburgh Castle. It is thoughtfully and tastefully decorated in an appropriate manor given the relative newness of the property and we spent a very happy.and comfortable week there.

A smart, functional, comfortable property but lacking a feeling of welcome. Arrived on a cold autumn evening to a cold house with no heating on and no logs for the advertised log burner. A warm, comfortable and fairly new property, designed to a high standard, in a good location. We were surprised there was no welcome pack (not even a pint of milk!) or logs for the woodburner, and there was too little cutlery and crockery and not enough pans for 6 people.
