Sitting just a 150-metre walk across the dunes to the fabulous stretch of sand at Beadnell Bay, this property is ideal if you love hiking by the sea. Pull on your walking boots and go for a refreshing 7.5-mile trek to Dustanburgh Castle, a mighty seaside fortress that was the focus of fierce fighting during the Wars of the Roses. Or hike into the fishing village of Craster (9 miles) and treat yourself to some authentic Craster kippers – they’re apparently a big hit with the Royal Family. Further afield, take a stroll around the magnificent town walls at Berwick (24 miles).
Head to the rear of this quirky cottage and enter through the back door. You’ll find a charming, light and bright kitchen/diner with beautiful, exposed brick feature walls. Rustle up some tasty treats for your loved ones in the spacious kitchen and enjoy a sociable meal in the dining area. A bathroom with shower over the bath and WC can be found just off the kitchen. After dinner, make your way to the cosy lounge to slip onto a sofa and warm your toes by the traditional wood burner. Exposed stone walls and wooden ceiling beams add a traditional ambience to this space. Pour yourself a glass of wine and while away a few hours in front of the Smart TV. When the day is done, head upstairs and you’ll discover a charming double bedroom with stunning sea views, as well as a spacious twin bedroom overlooking the garden.
