Located on the beautiful Northumberland coast enjoying stunning sea views, this stone-built cottage is situated near to the stunning Norman-built Bamburgh Castle and Farne Islands, over both. Set in the fishing port of Seahouses, it lies about 15 miles to the north-east of Alnwick as well as being sandwiched between the glorious villages of Bamburgh and Beadnell. The harbour, which sits in front of the property, is home to many fishing boats, as well as pleasure boats that take tourists to the glorious Farne Islands, where visitors can enjoy seeing seals and seabirds or scuba dive among the many wrecks. Not far away is the Northumberland National Park, which boasts the cleanest rivers and clearest air in England and also boasts Dark Sky status for the stargazers among you!
On arrival you will notice that the property embraces an inverted level layout to take advantage of the stunning views surrounding the property. On the ground floor, you'll encounter the three bedrooms – one double bedroom, one twin and one bunk bedroom perfect for children. These share one bathroom, with a walk in shower, wash basin and WC. On reaching the first floor, guests will find a tastefully decorated bright and airy lounge/diner which includes a cosy wood burner-style electric fire, ample comfortable seating, Freeview TV and CD player and a dining table for six guests. The lounge/diner opens up on to an open-plan newly fitted kitchen which comes complete with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine/dryer.
Outside the property, which overlooks Seahouses Harbour, is home to many fishing boats and pleasure boats where you can visit Farne Island, where you can spot dolphins and sea birds or go scuba diving amongst the many wrecks, there is allocated off-road parking for up to two cars. All the local amenities including pubs, restaurants and shops are within walking distance of the cottage.
