This wonderful family-friendly property is located in the heart of the village within walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars and tea rooms. The harbour is within walking distance and offers visitors the opportunity to board a boat trip to the Farne Islands to see the puffins and seals. The property is also only half an hour drive from Alnwick Castle and Alnwick Gardens, which showcases the spectacular treehouse restaurant. The area boasts beautiful and invigorating coastal walks right from the doorstep, making it the perfect spot for those who enjoying walking and sightseeing.

The cottage is full of great features and has all the facilities you will need for a fantastic trip away. The ground floor boasts a spacious lounge/diner with a stone Inglenook fireplace with wood burner, Smart TV, wooden flooring, doors and beams.  The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, a fridge/freezer, a microwave, a washing machine and a dishwasher. The bathroom includes a shower over the bath and WC. The first floor, accessible via an open tread staircase which may not be suitable for guests with a mobility conditions, houses two bedrooms: one restful king-size and a second bunk bedroom.

To the rear of the property there is a porch suitable for storing outdoor boots and clothes and leads on to a shared yard. Off-road, private parking for one small to medium size vehicle is available at the side of the cottage.

Cottage had everything we needed. Local OS maps very useful. Off road parking space big enough for medium sized car, reverse in!

The cottage was the perfect base to enjoy the wonderful scenic coastline . We could walk for miles and then enjoy the local pubs and grub. We had many interesting trips to the surrounding castles, plus Farne Isles and Lindisfarne. Our host was very helpful and we look forward to a return trip when the sea birds and puffins will be nesting.

Lovely cottage for the location and very well positioned near town. Parking good for medium sized vehicles and cosy real fire to snuggle in front of.

Excellently equipped and appointed cottage - everything has been thought of by owners. Parking is just adequate for a small car. No negative comments at all.

This is a lovely cottage we have stayed at more than once, It is ideally situated being a short walking distance of the town. (shops, restaurants etc) as well as the beach and harbour area. and a perfect base for the wider surrounding area to explore. It is very well equiped with everything you would possibly need for a family stay.

Great cottage, full of character and in a really good location. Hosts are really accommodating and the facilities were exactly what we needed. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will remember it fondly.
