This tranquil getaway is situated to enjoy the best of the coast and countryside, this cosy cottage is perfect for families. Found in the village of Beadnell on the Northumberland coast, offering excellent village pubs, a well-stocked village store, and a renowned local bistro, all on the cottage’s doorstep. A family friendly beach is within walking distance, great for seaside walks, picnics in the sand dunes, and rock pooling, not to mention facilities for year-round water sport activities. Take a walk along the coastal path or drive to Seahouses harbour, village and beach, or visit the Farne Islands by boat to see the puffins and seals. Holy Island is also nearby, where you can sample the renowned Lindisfarne Mead.

Enter the cottage via a small entrance porch, before walking into the cosy lounge area. Here you’ll find a beautiful wood burning stove and chimney leading up through the exposed roof rafters. The property also benefits from underfloor heating throughout to keep your toes warm all year round.  It has large windows and double patio doors, giving the room a spacious, light and airy feel. Unwind on the sofas, browse the bookshelves, watch the TV/DVD, which benefits from Sky Q (including sports package), listen to your favourite music on the Bluetooth speaker, or join the kids for a go on the games console. There are plenty of family board games to keep you all entertained too. The dining area is complete with a large table with seating for the whole family to enjoy a delicious meal. The fully-fitted, modern kitchen, meanwhile, has everything you could need during your stay including a two-seater breakfast bar, electric oven and ceramic hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge and separate freezer and even a dishwasher; there is also a washer/dryer. From here, head up the two-and-a-half steps towards the property’s three bedrooms and the bathrooms. The master bedroom has a super-king-size bed, wardrobe and dressing table. It also has an en-suite shower room. There are two further bedrooms, one double and one twin. All three bedrooms have a TV. Finally, enter the bathroom, which has underfloor heating, a shower over the bath and WC.

Step outside into the enclosed, private patio which is a sun trap on summer days. Take in the stunning views while relaxing on the rattan furniture. There is also a BBQ and external wall heater to help keep the chill at bay and allows you to enjoy long lazy evenings. There is designated parking for two cars close by too.

This was our first visit to Northumberland. We loved its coastal beauty. The accommodation was better than we have ever experienced. Tucked away from the road but central to the village and a short walk to beaches. It had every utensil you could want, a welcome pack of starters, bread, milk, crisps etc. The furniture was so comfortable, games, bookRead mores, binoculars, bbq. It was home from home. The Bothy was a lovely cottage and we really enjoyed our stay. It was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and comfortable. There were plenty of cleaning products and a good vacuum cleaner which is great when you have dogs. The Bothy itself is a superb holiday cottage in all respects. Extremely comfortably furnished and equipped to a tasteful and high standard. Couldnt have wished for a better holiday base with the grandchildren, the owner met us on arrival with a high chair and the enclosed garden was a perfect safe place for the children to play. The sparrows hatched while we were there, which was lovely to see. The house is well equipped and beautifully decorated. The Bothy is in a quiet location in the heart on the pretty village on Beadnell. Convenient for restaurants and good beaches. We had the privilege of watching Barn Swallows feeding their young in the sunny courtyard and saw them fledge on our last day!

We have stayed in many properties in Beadnell, all of which was very nice, but this one The Bothy was by far the best we have stayed in! It was spotless, well equipped, extremely dog, friendly and very comfortable! We loved it so much. We booked it for next year whilst we were there! cant fault it, its a credit to the owners!

This is an excellent cottage and base within Beadnell. Its very peaceful, close to great pubs and a cafe. We had a wonderful relaxing week and hope to return at some point. The beds were extremely comfortable, we really couldnt fault anything. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

The Bothy is a wonderfully comfortable and cosy place to stay, and ideally placed as a base to explore the Northumberland coast. There's nothing about it that we didn't like.

A lovely cottage in a superb location. The cottage was more than big enough for a party of 6 and two dogs. The cottage is very nicely decorated, very clean and was kitted out with everything we could possibly need for a self catering break. The Beadnell Towers and Craster Arms pubs are a stones throw away and both serve great food.
