Property Detail

This delightful end terrace cottage, built in the 1700’s, is situated in the picturesque village of Lesbury (next to the village hall) and can accommodate up to six people.

An elegant but cosy sitting room, overlooking the front garden is comfortably furnished, with an inglenook open fireplace (for burning logs only ), drinks cupboard, television with Freeview, DVD, CD player and a telephone for incoming calls.

The separate dining room with traditional welsh dresser, long case clock and seating for six, also features a stone Inglenook fireplace, adorned with brasses. The pretty, well equipped kitchen is warmed by an oil fired Aga cooker (which also heats the hot water), and includes a large fridge, small freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. The boiler, when needed, heats radiators. The small oval table is a great spot for board games and writing your postcards.

Upstairs there are three double bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, two fitted wardrobes, a chest of drawers, and a wash hand basin. A small nursery leads off, with a travel cot. The second bedroom has two single beds, fitted wardrobes, one full length mirror, wash hand basin and a chest of drawers. The third bedroom, to the rear, features exposed beams and has two single beds and a chest of drawers. A WC with hand basin, and an airing cupboard are on the same level. Both rooms look over the back garden and village bowling green.

The front garden, with roses over the door has two areas of gravel surrounded by borders filled with shrubs and flowers. A back porch for coats, boots etc leads to the rear garden which is also gravelled, and has a seating area for al fresco feasting and barbeques set amongst pretty pots and shrubbery.

Parking is available to the front of the house, and in a small free car park, beyond the post office, opposite the church.
