White Sails Cottage is a spacious cottage with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and is located within a few minutes walk of the harbour, beach and shops on Main Street. The cottage benefits from a large kitchen area with sofa and open fire (some logs provided), a huge lounge and three spacious bedrooms, two of which are en-suite.
This deceptively big property, which comfortably sleeps up 8 people, was until recently run as a bed and breakfast. Two of the three bedrooms have en-suite facilities and ideal for three families sharing. With gas central heating, double glazing and lovely open fire in the lounge / kitchen, the cottage is suitable for a break at any time of year.

Notes on accommodation
The cottage itself built in 1834 backs onto one of the many famous ‘Herring Yards’ (not used) in Seahouses. The yard now provides ample parking and space to sit out and enjoy a barbecue.
The cottage has been decorated, carpeted and furnished to very high standard. Additionally the cottage is one of only a handful of properties benefiting from gas central heating (operated by coin meter) in the village.

Special interest holidays
Ideal for walking all year round. There is a selection of walking books at the cottage. Ideal base for geologists and bird watchers as access to the Farne Islands is from Seahouses Harbour.
Travel
From the South: Continue past Newcastle and Morpeth on the A1 (M), following signs for Alnwick. Take second exit for Alnwick (Alnwick Gardens), and follow signs for Seahouses (13 miles) along the B1340. As you pass Beadnell on the right, you will bear left along the coast towards Seahouses village. After Seahouses Golf Club on the right, you will arrive in Seahouses village. Continue into the village and you will pass a Jet garage on the left. When you arrive at the mini-rounabout, turn left and the cottage is 100 yards on the left.

At Seahouses you are literally surrounded by stunning scenery and spoilt for choice for things to do and places to visit. Within a short walk of the cottage are many attractions of Seahouses itself. The harbour is just around the corner and there are many pubs, shops and restaurants to choose from along Main Street.
The Farne Islands can be reached by regular boat trips from Seahouses harbour. Great for bird lovers and geologists.
The historic town of Alnwick is only 10 miles away where you will find a thriving, historic market town with something a bit special! Even if you are not green fingered, a visit to Alnwick Gardens is a must, where you can stroll around the stunning gardens and waterfalls. Harry Potter fans of all ages should visit Alnwick Castle (or Hogwart’s School) and relive some of the favourite scenes from the popular films.
The Heritage coastline is dotted with castles and villages and stunning beaches – ideal for walking all year round. The Cheviot Hills are only a short drive away offering superb views across to Holy Island and Lindisfarne. Alternatively, a stroll along the coats to Bamburgh Castle (only 1 mile away) or a visit to Holy Island are both ideal for a family day out.
Booking notes
A deposit of a third of the cost of the holiday (or a £100 minimum) will be required to secure the booking. The balance is to be paid six weeks before your holiday starts.
