Union Cottage was completely restored and re-furbished in early 2009 to a very high standard. In addition, the cottage is in an excellent location in the old historic harbour area in Seahouses. The cottage, on Union Street is within a couple of minutes walk of the sea front and the shops on Main Street.
With space to park directly outside the cottage, as soon as you arrive you can start to relax and enjoy yourself. If you simply want to spend your holiday relaxing in the cottage, you won’t be disappointed. The lounge has a superb wood burning stove with luxurious leather sofas, flat screen TV and DVD. The kitchen is modern and comes complete with all the fittings you would expect from a superior quality kitchen. Upstairs, there is a modern bathroom and two spacious bedrooms sleeping up to 4 people. In the summer, you can sit out at the front of the cottage in the enclosed garden with a glass of wine and enjoy the sound of the waves crashing against the harbour wall.
In the winter, what better after a walk along the beach than to warm up and re-charge the batteries in front of the wood burning stove. The cottage has an excellent heating system so is an ideal place to stay whatever the weather.

Notes on accommodation
We are very happy to recommend Union Cottage as a place to stay in Seahouses. The property has been decorated and furnished to a very high standard and is in a great location in the village. Whether you use the cottage as a base to explore the area or simply a place to enjoy a relaxing break, you will not be disappointed here. The furniture and fittings are to a very high specification and there is everything you need to enjoy a holiday whatever the weather. Whilst the cottage is in a convenient location, it is set on a very peaceful street where the only sound you will hear are the waves crashing against the rocks and harbour wall about 50 metres away.

Special interest holidays
Ideal for walking all year round with beaches either side of the village. There is information about visitor attractions in the property. Dunstanburgh and Bamburgh Castles nearby, Farne Islands accessed from Seahouses harbour 3 miles away. Alnwick, Holy Island, Lindisfarne and other great places to visit are all within easy reach of the property.
Travel
From the South: Continue past Newcastle and Morpeth on the A1 (M), following signs for Alnwick. Take second exit for Alnwick (Alnwick Gardens), and follow signs for Seahouses (13 miles). The cottage is located at the end of Union Street which is a right turn just as you reach the harbour down North Street.

At Seahouses you are literally surrounded by stunning scenery and spoilt for choice for things to do and places to visit. Within a short walk of the cottage are the many attractions of Seahouses itself. The harbour is just around the corner and there are many pubs, shops and restaurants to choose from along Main Street.
The Farne Islands can be reached by regular boat trips from Seahouses harbour. Great for bird lovers and geologists.
The historic town of Alnwick is only 10 miles away where you will find a thriving, historic market town with something a bit special! Even if you are not green fingered, a visit to Alnwick Gardens is a must, where you can stroll around the stunning gardens and waterfalls. Harry Potter fans of all ages should visit Alnwick Castle (or Hogwart’s School) and relive some of the favourite scenes from the popular films.
The Heritage coastline is dotted with castles and villages and stunning beaches – ideal for walking all year round. The Cheviot Hills are only a short drive away offering superb views across to Holy Island and Lindisfarne. Alternatively, a stroll along the coast to Bamburgh Castle (only 1 mile away) or a visit to Holy Island are both ideal for a family day out.
Booking notes
A deposit of a third of the cost of the holiday (or a £100 minimum) will be required to secure the booking. The balance is to be paid six weeks before your holiday starts.
