St Cuthbert's Cottage

This is a cosy cottage situated in the heart of old Seahouses, only a few feet from the harbour.  It is also within two minutes walk of the Main Street, where you will find a wide range of interesting shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. 

This traditional stone built end terrace cottage is located close to Seahouses Harbour with views from the first floor living room towards the sea.  On the ground floor is the lovely bedroom with double bed and pine furniture and the bathroom with electric shower over the bath.  Upstairs is the spacious lounge with dining table, comfortable suite and open fire.  This cottage is an ideal base from which you can discover this fascinating coastline, the Farne Islands and much more.

Saturday (3 night weekend breaks and 4 night midweek breaks available off-peak)

Bedroom 1 : Double bedroom with pine wardrobes, bedside cabinets, and dressing area.
Bathroom : Bath with electric shower, toilet and hand basin.
Kitchen : Modern well equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave oven and dishwasher.
Utility Room : Washing machine, iron & ironing board provided.
Living Rooms : Open fire on marble hearth with feature stone surround. Two windows with views to the coast and sea over the rooftops. TV, freeview digibox, video, DVD player, CD radio, games and books provided

: Duvet, linen and towels are provided. Changed weekly for two week or longer stays.











Notes on accommodation
The cottage itself, is very close to Seahouses harbour.  The cottage is tastefully decorated throughout and provides a cosy and comfortable place to stay all year round.  Allocated parking is adjacent to the cottage.  The cottage has electric heating throughout and a fantastic log fire in the lounge (some logs provided).

Special interest holidays
Ideal for walking all year round. There is a information on local attractions in the cottage. Ideal base for geologists and bird watchers as access to the Farne Islands is from Seahouses Harbour.

Travel
From the South, continue past Newcastle and Morpeth on the A1 (M), following signs for Alnwick. Take second exit for Alnwick (Alnwick Gardens), and follow signs for Seahouses (13 miles) along the B1340. As you pass Beadnell on the right, you will bear left along the coast towards Seahouses village. After Seahouses Golf Club on the right, you will arrive in Seahouses village.

Within ¼ mile, you will come to a Jet garage on the left. Opposite the garage, turn right onto Dunstan View and the cottage is on the left just before you arrive at the harbour.

At Seahouses you are literally surrounded by stunning scenery and spoilt for choice for things to do and places to visit. Within a short walk of the cottage are many attractions of Seahouses itself. The harbour is just around the corner and there are many pubs, shops and restaurants to choose from along Main Street.

The Farne Islands can be reached by regular boat trips from Seahouses harbour. Great for bird lovers and geologists.

The historic town of Alnwick is only 10 miles away where you will find a thriving, historic market town with something a bit special! Even if you are not green fingered, a visit to Alnwick Gardens is a must, where you can stroll around the stunning gardens and waterfalls. Harry Potter fans of all ages should visit Alnwick Castle (or Hogwart’s School) and relive some of the favourite scenes from the popular films.

The Heritage coastline is dotted with castles and villages and stunning beaches – ideal for walking all year round. The Cheviot Hills are only a short drive away offering superb views across to Holy Island and Lindisfarne. Alternatively, a stroll along the coats to Bamburgh Castle (only 1 mile away) or a visit to Holy Island are both ideal for a family day out.

Booking notes
A deposit of a third of the cost of the holiday (or a £100 minimum) will be required to secure the booking. The balance is to be paid six weeks before your holiday starts.
