Seagull Cottage is the ideal accommodation for a family or group of four who wish to stay right in the heart of this fantastic village. Only a few steps from the harbour and a short walk to Main Street and all the village amenities, this cottage is the perfect home from home. With parking available directly outside the front door, you can begin to relax as soon as you arrive at the cottage.
The entrance porch of the cottage leads to the cosy sitting room with comfortable seating and a dining area for four. Downstairs you will also find a well equipped kitchen with a door leading to the shared yard to the rear. A flight of stairs lead from the kitchen to the first floor where there is a double bedroom, twin bedroom and a family bathroom. Seagull Cottage has been fitted with night storage heaters throughout and an electric flame effect stove in the living room this cottage is an ideal base to explore this stunning heritage coastline all year round.

Seagull Cottage is ideal for those who are looking for modestly priced
accommodation in a fantastic location. With pubs, restaurants, shops, beaches,
activities, the harbour and the beaches all only a short walk away this is
cottage is ideally located for those wishing to enjoy all that the village has
to offer. Pets are welcome!

Outside
There is a space to park the car in front of the cottage. There is a shared yard
at the back of the cottage with space to sit out and relax.

Special interest holidays
Ideal for walking all year round with beaches either side of the village. There
is information about visitor attractions in the property. Dunstanbrough and
Bamburgh Castles nearby, Farne Islands accessed from Seahouses harbour 3 miles
away. Alnwick, Holy Island, Lindisfarne and other great places to visit are all
within easy reach of the property.
Travel
From the South
Continue past Newcastle and Morpeth on the A1 (M), following
signs for Alnwick. Take second exit for Alnwick (Alnwick Gardens), and follow
signs for Seahouses (13 miles) along the B1340. As you pass Beadnell on the
right, you will bear left along the coast towards Seahouses village. After
Seahouses Golf Club on the right, you will arrive in Seahouses village.
Within ¼ mile, you will come to a Jet garage on the left. Opposite the garage,
turn right onto Dunstan View. Take the third road on the right (next to The
Schooner Inn pub) onto Taylor Street. No 2 is the 1st cottage on the right.
Parking is directly in front of the cottage.
From the North
Continue past Berwick on the A1 (M),
following signs for Alnwick. Just after a short distance of dual
carriageway, take a left and follow signs for Seahouses (10
miles) along the B6347. As you pass Beadnell on the right, you
will bear left along the coast towards Seahouses village. After
Seahouses Golf Club on the right, you will arrive in Seahouses
village.

At Seahouses you are literally surrounded by stunning scenery
and spoilt for choice for things to do and places to visit.
Within a short walk of the cottage are many attractions of
Seahouses itself. The harbour is just around the corner and
there are many pubs, shops and restaurants to choose from along
Main Street.
The Farne Islands can be reached by regular boat trips from
Seahouses harbour. Great for bird lovers and geologists.
The historic town of Alnwick is only 10 miles away where you
will find a thriving, historic market town with something a bit
special! Even if you are not green fingered, a visit to Alnwick
Gardens is a must, where you can stroll around the stunning
gardens and waterfalls. Harry Potter fans of all ages should
visit Alnwick Castle (or Hogwart’s School) and relive some of
the favourite scenes from the popular films.
The Heritage coastline is dotted with castles and villages and
stunning beaches – ideal for walking all year round. The Cheviot
Hills are only a short drive away offering superb views across
to Holy Island and Lindisfarne. Alternatively, a stroll along
the coats to Bamburgh Castle (only 1 mile away) or a visit to
Holy Island are both ideal for a family day out.
Booking notes
A deposit of a third of the cost of the holiday (or a £100
minimum) will be required to secure the booking. The balance is
to be paid six weeks before your holiday starts.
