This cottage is one of only a few remaining original stone built cottages in Seahouses. Built as a fisherman’s cottage in around the 1820s, it is full of character and charm. It is in a great location, being on a quiet cul-de-sac but only a stone throw from the harbour and only a short walk to the Main Street.
The cottage has a spacious lounge with two sofas, flat screen TV and DVD player. There is also a dining table with chairs and CD sound system. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you are likely to need, including fridge, freezer, washing machine, cooker, toaster, kettle etc. Double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and is furnished and decorated to a good standard. With heating provided by night storage heaters, oil filled radiators and a convector heater in the lounge, this is a lovely place to enjoy a well earned break whatever the season.

Notes on accommodation
The spacious lounge is comfortable, cosy and warm, whatever the weather. The
double bedroom is decorated and furnished to a high standard with en-suite
bathroom. And with a fully equipped kitchen, you have everything you need for a
romantic break. With space at the back of the cottage to sit out and enjoy the tranquility and afternoon sun, this is a great place to relax and unwind.
It’s location means you can use the cottage as a base to explore the stunning Northumberland coastline, Farne Islands, Alnwick and Cheviot Hills or you could just relax in the village and enjoy the cottage, the local amenities on the Main Street, the harbour and the views to the Farne Islands and Bamburgh Castle.

Special interest holidays
Ideal for walking all year round with beaches either side of the village. There is information about visitor attractions in the property. Dunstanbrough and Bamburgh Castles nearby, Farne Islands accessed from Seahouses harbour 3 miles away. Alnwick, Holy Island, Lindisfarne and other great places to visit are all within easy reach of the property.
Travel
From the South: Continue past Newcastle and Morpeth on the A1 (M), following signs for Alnwick. Take second exit for Alnwick (Alnwick Gardens), and follow signs for Seahouses (13 miles). The cottage is located on Taylor Street, which is just off North Street which links King Street and the harbour.

At Seahouses you are literally surrounded by stunning scenery and spoilt for choice for things to do and places to visit. Within a short walk of the cottage are many attractions of Seahouses itself. The harbour is just around the corner and there are many pubs, shops and restaurants to choose from along Main Street.
The Farne Islands can be reached by regular boat trips from Seahouses harbour. Great for bird lovers and geologists.
The historic town of Alnwick is only 10 miles away where you will find a thriving, historic market town with something a bit special! Even if you are not green fingered, a visit to Alnwick Gardens is a must, where you can stroll around the stunning gardens and waterfalls. Harry Potter fans of all ages should visit Alnwick Castle (or Hogwart’s School) and relive some of the favourite scenes from the popular films.
The Heritage coastline is dotted with castles and villages and stunning beaches – ideal for walking all year round. The Cheviot Hills are only a short drive away offering superb views across to Holy Island and Lindisfarne. Alternatively, a stroll along the coats to Bamburgh Castle (only 1 mile away) or a visit to Holy Island are both ideal for a family day out.
Booking notes
The cottage is available to rent on a weekly basis all year round. Short breaks are also available off-peak. A non-refundable deposit of £100 per week will be required to secure the booking. The balance to be paid 4 weeks before your holiday.
Notes on prices
Prices shown on a Saturday are per week in UK Pounds. For short break prices, simply click on your start date (Friday or Monday), select the number of nights and click GO. The price for the break will then appear.
Weekly bookings (7 nights) are available from Saturday to Saturday.
Special weeks indicated in green are available for bookings of 7 nights from Saturday to Saturday or short stays with a minimum of 3 or 4 nights commencing on a Friday or Monday.
