Herring Masters Cottage is situated in the heart of old Seahouses, 2 minute walk from the Main Street and just round the corner from the harbour, The cottage provides ideal family accommodation and is available all year round. Sleeps up to 6 in 3 Bedrooms.
Herring Masters Cottage. This superb 3 bedroom cottage is located in the heart of the historic harbour area in Seahouses. As the name suggests, the cottage was once owned by the Herring Master and is adjacent to one of the few remaining herring yards (not used) in the village. Centrally located, the cottage is only a very short walk to the town centre, harbour and local pub!

Notes on accommodation
The cottage itself, which retains all of its original character, has been tastefully decorated throughout, with quality furniture and carpets. The multi fuel stove within an inglenook fireplace in the lounge is a fabulous feature and provides the heating for the cottage in the winter (a limited supply of coal and logs provided). The cottage has also has electric heating.

Ideal for walking all year round. There is a selection of information about local attractions in the cottage. Ideal base for geologists and bird watchers as access to the Farne Islands is from Seahouses Harbour.
Travel
From the South continue past Newcastle and Morpeth on the A1 (M), following signs for Alnwick. Take second exit for Alnwick (Alnwick Gardens), and follow signs for Seahouses (13 miles) along the B1340. As you pass Beadnell on the right, you will bear left along the coast towards Seahouses village. After Seahouses Golf Club on the right, you will arrive in Seahouses village.
Within ¼ mile, you will come to a Jet garage on the left. Opposite the garage, turn right onto Dunstan View. Taylor Street is the third road on the right just before you reach the harbour.

At Seahouses you are literally surrounded by stunning scenery and spoilt for choice for things to do and places to visit. Within a short walk of the cottage are many attractions of Seahouses itself. The harbour is just around the corner and there are many pubs, shops and restaurants to choose from along Main Street.
The Farne Islands can be reached by regular boat trips from Seahouses harbour. Great for bird lovers and geologists.
The historic town of Alnwick is only fifteen minutes drive away where you will find a thriving, historic market town with something a bit special! Even if you are not green fingered, a visit to Alnwick Gardens is a must, where you can stroll around the stunning gardens and waterfalls. Harry Potter fans of all ages should visit Alnwick Castle (or Hogwart’s School) and relive some of the favourite scenes from the popular films.
The Heritage coastline is dotted with castles and villages and stunning beaches – ideal for walking all year round. The Cheviot Hills are only a short drive away offering superb views across to Holy Island and Lindisfarne. Alternatively, a stroll along the coats to Bamburgh Castle (only 1 mile away) or a visit to Holy Island are both ideal for a family day out.
Booking notes
A deposit of a third of the cost of the holiday (or a £100 minimum) will be required to secure the booking. The balance is to be paid six weeks before your holiday starts.
