Gable Cottage is a spacious 3 bedroom cottage in the old harbour area of Seahouses. Located on a quiet street, just round the corner from the harbour, this cottage is in an ideal spot for a peaceful break but close to the local amenities.
Gable Cottage has been equipped with carefully chosen furniture and has been tastefully decorated to complement its original character and charm. The lounge has a fabulous open fire (which provides central heating in the winter), comfortable soft furnishing, TV, freeview digibox, DVD player, video and CD radio. The cottage has a separate dining room with table and chairs for six. To the back of the cottage is an enclosed shared yard, providing an ideal place to sit out, relax and enjoy a well deserved glass of wine and barbecue!

Notes on accommodation
The cottage itself, which retains all of its original character, has been tastefully decorated and modernised throughout, with new furniture and decoration. The cottage has a night storage heater in the lounge and there is additional central heating in the winter provided by the fire in the lounge.

Ideal for walking all year round. There is a selection of walking books at the cottage. Ideal base for geologists and bird watchers as access to the Farne Islands is from Seahouses Harbour.

Travel
From the South continue past Newcastle and Morpeth on the A1 (M), following signs for Alnwick. Take second exit for Alnwick (Alnwick Gardens), and follow signs for Seahouses (13 miles) along the B1340. As you pass Beadnell on the right, you will bear left along the coast towards Seahouses village. After Seahouses Golf Club on the right, you will arrive in Seahouses village.
Within ¼ mile, you will come to a Jet garage on the left. Opposite the garage, turn right onto Dunstan View. Taylor Street is the third road on the right just before you reach the harbour.
Further details
At Seahouses you are literally surrounded by stunning scenery and spoilt for choice for things to do and places to visit. Within a short walk of the cottage are many attractions of Seahouses itself. The harbour is just around the corner and there are many pubs, shops and restaurants to choose from along Main Street.
The Farne Islands can be reached by regular boat trips from Seahouses harbour. Great for bird lovers and geologists.
The historic town of Alnwick is only 10 miles away where you will find a thriving, historic market town with something a bit special! Even if you are not green fingered, a visit to Alnwick Gardens is a must, where you can stroll around the stunning gardens and waterfalls. Harry Potter fans of all ages should visit Alnwick Castle (or Hogwart’s School) and relive some of the favourite scenes from the popular films.
The Heritage coastline is dotted with castles and villages and stunning beaches – ideal for walking all year round. The Cheviot Hills are only a short drive away offering superb views across to Holy Island and Lindisfarne. Alternatively, a stroll along the coats to Bamburgh Castle (only 1 mile away) or a visit to Holy Island are both ideal for a family day out.
Booking notes
The cottage is available to rent on a weekly basis all year round. Short breaks are also available off-peak. A non-refundable deposit of £100 per week will be required to secure the booking. The balance to be paid 4 weeks before your holiday.
Notes on prices
Prices shown on a Saturday are per week in UK Pounds. For short break prices, simply click on your start date (Friday or Monday), select the number of nights and click GO. The price for the break will then appear.
Weekly bookings (7 nights) are available from Saturday to Saturday.
Special weeks indicated in green are available for bookings of 7 nights from Saturday to Saturday or short stays with a minimum of 3 or 4 nights commencing on a Friday or Monday.
