Situated in Seahouses village, Cheviot Cottage is only a short walk from the shops, harbour and beach. The cottage has lots of character and charm and with two log fires and electric heating, is ideal for a break all year round.
This charming and cosy end of terrace stone built cottage was formerly ‘The Badger’ pub in the 1800s and still retains much of its original character today. Retaining many features such as wooden beams and fireplaces, the cottage has a cosy and warm feel. It is located in the village, close to the shops, pubs, harbour and beach. The property benefits from off-street parking, two sitting rooms, two large bedrooms and a spacious bathroom.

This charming and cosy end of terrace stone built cottage was formerly ‘The Badger’ pub in the 1800s and still retains much of its original character today. Both the lounge and dining room provide a warm and comfortable environment, where you can relax in front of the coal fire set within the original fireplace. The cottage has night storage heaters as well as two open coal burning fires (limited coal provided). The cottage is located only a very short walk from the village centre, harbour and beach.

Ideal for walking all year round. There is information about visitor attactions in the cottage. Ideal base for geologists and bird watchers as access to the Farne Islands is from Seahouses Harbour.
Travel
From the South: Continue past Newcastle and Morpeth on the A1 (M), following signs for Alnwick. Take second exit for Alnwick (Alnwick Gardens), and follow signs for Seahouses (13 miles) along the B1340. As you pass Beadnell on the right, you will bear left along the coast towards Seahouses village. After Seahouses Golf Club on the right, you will arrive in Seahouses village. Continue into the village and you will pass a Jet garage on the left. When you arrive at the mini-rounabout, turn left and the cottage is 100 yards on the left.

At Seahouses you are literally surrounded by stunning scenery and spoilt for choice for things to do and places to visit. Within a short walk of the cottage are many attractions of Seahouses itself. The harbour is just around the corner and there are many pubs, shops and restaurants to choose from along Main Street.
The Farne Islands can be reached by regular boat trips from Seahouses harbour. Great for bird lovers and geologists.
The historic town of Alnwick is only 10 miles away where you will find a thriving, historic market town with something a bit special! Even if you are not green fingered, a visit to Alnwick Gardens is a must, where you can stroll around the stunning gardens and waterfalls. Harry Potter fans of all ages should visit Alnwick Castle (or Hogwart’s School) and relive some of the favourite scenes from the popular films.
The Heritage coastline is dotted with castles and villages and stunning beaches – ideal for walking all year round. The Cheviot Hills are only a short drive away offering superb views across to Holy Island and Lindisfarne. Alternatively, a stroll along the coats to Bamburgh Castle (only 1 mile away) or a visit to Holy Island are both ideal for a family day out.
Booking notes
The cottage is available to rent on a weekly basis all year round. Short breaks are also available off-peak. A non-refundable deposit of £100 per week will be required to secure the booking. The balance to be paid 4 weeks before your holiday.
Notes on prices
Prices shown on a Saturday are per week in UK Pounds. For short break prices, simply click on your start date (Friday or Monday), select the number of nights and click GO. The price for the break will then appear.
Weekly bookings (7 nights) are available from Saturday to Saturday.
Special weeks indicated in green are available for bookings of 7 nights from Saturday to Saturday or short stays with a minimum of 3 or 4 nights commencing on a Friday or Monday.
