This lovely stone cottage was recently renovated from former farm buildings to create a beautiful three bedroom property. Set in open countryside, yet close to Beadnell  beach and village, Islestone Cottage provides a perfect get away. Sleeping up to six people in three bedrooms with spacious living accommodation, under floor heating and a log burning stove, plus enviable outdoor space, it is the ideal place to stay all year round.

Two bedrooms and a family bathroom are on the ground floor. The light, spacious living area has a fireplace with a log burning stove with glazed doors lead out onto the large rear garden with patio area complete with garden furniture and trampoline. 

Two steps lead down from the living area to the kitchen area where you will find a modern kitchen with all mod cons and a large table with seating for eight to ten people. From the living  room a concealed staircase leads up to the master bedroom with en suite shower room,  There is also a garden to the front and ample parking for cars.

Saturday (3 night weekend breaks and 4 night midweek breaks available off peak)

Living : Spacious living room with log burning stove,  two  leather sofas, arm chair, flat screen TV with freeview and DVD player, digital radio, I Pod docking station  and French doors leading to the large rear garden.
Kitchen :  Light,  modern kitchen with electric oven and gas  hob, integrated fridge and freezer, dish washer,  washer/dryer, microwave oven, kettle, toaster and dining table with seating for eight.
Master Bedroom : King size bed with bedside tables, wardrobe, set of drawers, flat screen TV and en suite.
En suite : Tiled shower room with power shower, heated towel rail, wash basin and W.C.
Bedroom 2 :  to ground floor bunk beds, plus single bed with bedside table and drawers, TV and play station.
Bedroom 3 : Twin beds, bedside table, wardrobe, chest of drawers and desk.
Bathroom : Fully tiled family bathroom with shower over bath (off main water supply) heated towel rail, wash basin and W.C.
Outside : Large gardens to front and rear, patio area with garden furniture, bbq, trampoline, outdoor games including croquet, badminton and swing ball and ample parking to two cars.

This exclusive property benefits from not only a spacious interior but a large garden with beautiful views of the surrounding area. Ideal for relaxing outside with plenty of space for children to play. The cottage is only a five minute walk and close to the amenities of the village. With under floor heating and a log burning stove, this cottage is also a cosy winter retreat.

The garden has fantastic views of the surrounding area and the cottage is located only a short walk from the beach and the amenities.

Special interest holidays
Ideal for walking holidays  all year round. An excellent base for those interested in geology and bird watching as there is access to the Farne Islands from Seahouses Harbour. Close to stunning golf courses at Dunstanburgh, Seahouses and Bamburgh.

There is a host of water sports available at Beadnell Bay. The favorable wind directions and protected swells of up to 12 to 15ft make this bay a surfing and body boarding hotspot. The extensive beach is ideal for kite boarding on sand and on water. Many dive clubs use the boat launch facilities at Beadnell Bay to access the fantastic dive sites around the area.

Directions

From the South
Continue past Newcastle and Morpeth on the A1 (M), following signs for Alnwick. Take second exit for Alnwick (Alnwick Gardens), and follow signs for Seahouses (13 miles) along the B1340. About 3 miles before you reach Seahouses turn left into Harbour Road, Beadnell. Take the second road on your left, go past the children’s play area and continue down Swinhoe Road until the row of houses end, you will see a B and B guest house on your right called The Hemmel. Take the country road on your left immediately past The Hemmel (near the 30 mile an hour road sign.) Follow the gravel track to the end you will see three cottages, Islestone Cottage is the middle cottage.

From the North
Continue past Berwick on the A1 (M), following signs for Alnwick. Just after a short distance of dual carriageway, take a left and follow signs for Seahouses (10 miles) along the B6347. You will see signposts for Beadnell to the right. Then follow directions as above.

The beautiful sandy dunes of Beadnell beach are a short walk away through the field directly behind the cottage. The area is ideal for walking holidays all year round. An excellent base for those interested in geology and bird watching, the long Nanny at the far end of the beach is breeding ground for many species but must not be accessed during nesting season. There is access to the Farne Islands from Seahouses Harbour where Puffins and many other wonderful species can be seen whilst the seals rest on the lower rocks.  Islestone Cottage is close to stunning golf courses at Dunstanburgh, Seahouses and Bamburgh.

Booking notes
A deposit of a third of the cost of the holiday (or a £100 minimum) will be required to secure the booking. The balance is to be paid six weeks before your holiday starts.
